Manager of Clinical Apheresis

Under the direction of the Director of Clinical Apheresis Services (Director), this position (Manager) is responsible for assisting in meeting Carter BloodCare (CBC) and departmental goals and objectives.  The Manager is responsible for managing daily operations and business activities required to meet the needs of hospital and clinical accounts, to ensure excellent customer service, and quality patient care.  Additionally, the position is responsible for staffing field assignments, performing procedures in the field to assist in training or as staffing indicates, and remaining competent in all procedures and equipment utilized.  Also, the Manager is responsible for maintaining statistics and quality indicators of procedures and records of preventative or responsive maintenance along with quality control of supplies and equipment. Regular full-time attendance is required during office hours.


  • RN active licensure in the State of Texas, preferably with HP credentialing.


  • At least 5 years of apheresis experience of which 3 years should be in therapeutic/PBSC apheresis.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Strong technical and clinical apheresis skills with the ability to learn new technologies utilized by Carter BloodCare, according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently with attention to detail.

This is a vital and rewarding position that will play a key role in expanding our footprint and sharing our lifesaving mission in Central Arkansas. Arkansas Blood Institute is part of one of the fastest-growing independent blood centers in the U.S., providing blood to more than 30 hospitals in Arkansas, including four major hospitals in Little Rock.

The Collection Operations Manager will focus on the staff performance of key metrics for the donor services Little Rock mobile operations. The manager will develop programs and work with individual staff to ensure key metric goals are achieved. Overall success will be realized with an acceptable incomplete, deferral and error rate in addition to conversion rates and excellent customer service scores.


· 3+ years of supervisory or management experience with blood bank focus helpful

· Post-secondary education required, bachelor’s degree preferred

· Valid driver’s license and good driving record with zero points and no moving violations in the past 3 years
