Mobile Donor Services Operations Director

Position:  To provide leadership and direction for the Oklahoma City mobile operation team ensuring high quality blood collections and high staff morale creating a vision of excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in experience
  • A minimum of five years management experience in a blood bank setting
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong leadership, customer service, technical and organizational skills
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills
  • Diplomatic interpersonal style with excellent conflict resolution techniques

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership support to mobile supervisors and collection staff
  • Foster teamwork, effective problem solving and staff motivation with the additional DS Mobile Operations Director
  • Manage regular staff meetings and ensure/provide SOP training coordinating with the SOP implementation dates
  • Provide direction and coaching while motivating staff and maintaining a high morale by ensuring staff needs are met
  • Make frequent visits to mobile blood drives and directly observe staff performance
  • Create initiatives to ensure a friendly competitive environment motivating staff to achieve high ratings on key metrics
  • Manage the Power Donor program to ensure supervisors achieve high results for conversions and PA and that staff are recognized for high conversions
  • Engage and motivate staff to ensure an outstanding experience for each donor
  • Manage effective resolution for staff procedural or behavioral issues
  • Review all staff score cards monthly and take corrective action per policy as needed, ensuring staff have copies/access to data
  • Manage the EMTS/QIR process and ensure all records (ACRP, QC, etc.) are maintained and reviewed per SOP
  • Manage and follow up on all mobile donor and Drive Coordinator concerns or questions
  • Perform annual review with each staff member
  • Interview and hire using available tools to ensure great team work and staffing levels
  • Manage all internal and external inspections
  • Monitor daily reports to ensure collection goals are achieved with direct impact from conversions
  • Assist in developing and manage department annual budgets and continuously explore cost saving initiatives
  • Work closely with the recruitment director, identifying the tools and resources needed to meet and exceed collection expectations and donor group experience
  • Create a culture of process improvement looking both short term and long term
  • Share management of the materials and equipment staff to ensure all equipment is well maintained and in compliance for quality control, calibration and annual PM’s
  • Share management of the DS administrative specialists
  • Rotate staff on call responsibilities

Oklahoma Blood Institute is actively seeking an experienced sales professional capable of development and execution of donor recruitment/sales plans to businesses, schools, churches, and other organizations in the Ada, Oklahoma and surrounding area.  This dynamic candidate will be an engaging, stimulating communicator, with the ability to translate our mission of saving lives, into features, functions and benefits to the clients we serve. 

Candidates applying for this Account Consultant position will need to be comfortable in a fast-paced, results-driven environment, possess good business planning skills, and be self-directed in the pursuit of blood collection goals that save lives.

This position requires two years of territory management or outside sales experience with public speaking and event planning.  High School Diploma or GED required.  Associate’s Degree/Bachelor’s Degree preferred or comparative sales experience.  Excellent computer and time management skills are a must.

We provide a competitive benefits package and starting salary range of $42,000 to $49,000 with a lucrative annual bonus/incentive potential of up to $27,000, based on performance.
